How long does it take for me to receive my purchase of books or artwork?

Thank you for your recent purchase. Most deliveries of books within Australia are delivered within one week. However, as each painting or print is carefully packaged and requires time for drying, varnishing, and in some cases framing. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for domestic orders and 3-5 weeks for international orders to arrive.

*Please note that due to current circumstances shipping and handling is experiencing delays - all parcels are tracked however so both you and I know where in the World it is.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, I do. In fact, I LOVE sending my work around the world. So far my work (original artworks) resides in Italy, China, USA, New Zealand, Switzerland, France, and Spain.  Please allow up to 3-5 weeks for international orders to arrive.

How are shipping costs determined?

Shipping costs are determined based on the price, dimensions, and weight of the artwork(s) or products purchased, as well as the shipping destination. Shipping costs include packaging and handling. Please note that artwork may be subject to duties, taxes and/or fees according to your country’s regulations. Please consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes. For a shipping cost estimate, please contact me at  jacquesartandbooks@gmail.com

How will my large artwork be shipped to me?

I work with qualified art framers in my nearest city (Cairns). They handle my artwork with the utmost care and will package your painting safely. Large paintings are removed from the wooden bars and rolled in a tube. Any good framer can re-stretch the canvas for you, or if you are a handy person, you can do it yourself.

Do you do commissions?

Yes, I do! For commission information, click here

Is there a way I can preview what a painting would look like in my house?

Yes! I know how important seeing a painting in your space is. Simply email jacquesartandbooks@gmail.com a picture of your wall where you imagine your artwork to hang. Be sure to capture it with bright and even lighting. I will then place the painting on your wall digitally and send it back for you to check out.

What type of materials do you use and how do you finish your paintings?

Most of my work is created using acrylic and water-based media. I occasionally include oil pastels, oil paints, and other mixed media as a part of my process. Canvas originals and some works on paper are varnished (a liquid sealant) to protect your painting from dust and light. For works on paper, framing behind a glass is recommended for protection and preservation.

I own a gallery or store and I'd like to carry your work.

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes, I’m happy to create custom paintings in any size to suit you and your client's vision. For a consultation to discuss your requirements, please email me at  jacquesartandbooks@gmail.com

What type of prints do you offer?

I offer giclée prints on archival materials, 230gsm paper or 400gsm canvas. The canvas material is a beautiful upgrade on a typical paper print. It does not rip, and it has a textural quality that mirrors the exact canvas I paint on. Often, people can't tell the difference from an original! These canvas prints come with a printed extension to fit around wooden stretcher bars (provided) ready for you to pop on your wall, they come neatly rolled in a tube. Any good framer can stretch the canvas for you, or if you are a handy person, you can do it yourself.

How do I care for my print?

Prints should be framed as soon as possible to avoid damage. For stretched canvas prints, keep them away from water and direct sunlight.

Returns?

All sales are final. Exceptions are made in case of any damage incurred during shipping. If this happens, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your artwork.

*Due to these present times, our shipping and handling has been affected. All work is professionally photographed before varnishing and delivery. Please allow 4-8 weeks lead time from the date of purchase to arriving on your doorstep. I appreciate your patience and support at this time!
