OK Barbie was a clue… yes she is a copy – sort of … of a well known piece of art. AND… Ta DA… I am about to hop on a plane and fly to to visit all of these priceless pieces of art in all of their hidey holes, 24 sleeps till I leave for Paris,Barcelona, Rome and Geneva. The art prize money I won before Christmas as well as the sale of a couple paintings and I am OFF. Well not just me… because of my friendly nature I am NOT allowed to go alone (of which I am secretly happy about) my sister Jenni is travelling with me.

The first week we are staying in a hotel next to the Louve, poor me, how will I cope. Then we fly to Rome, I have promised my kids I will get te Pope to autograph a photo for them – because of course I will be seeing him. The Barcelona…. I can’t wait… then Geneva. What a trip we will have.

My internet has been playing up terribly, if you are wondering why it has been soooooooo long since my previous blog. We have satellite, it does not like to work if it is cloudy, windy or raining; and as we live in the wettest place in the southern hemisphere… well… do you think it is going to work well, especially in WET season – when you most want to be inside…

Speaking of being inside, it has been really hot lately, about 36 – 40 degrees celsius in 24 sleeps. Such a difference when in a few weeks I will be in Paris and Barcelona where it has been 0 – 3 degrees, Rome has bewen 0 – 8 degrees and Geneva 0 – -6 brrrrrr, brrrr…. Man am I glad I have been shopping and bought a BEAUTIFUL woollen jacket to keep me warm. Hopefully the temperature is keeping extra (more woosy) tourists away… this will mean shorter lines at all of the things I would like to see.
